Community Wide Annual Yard Sale

It’s time for the annual community yardsale that spans 50 miles, across Hwy 71 and 73, in northeast Alabama. From Bryant, Alabama (the highway 73 end) to Section, Alabama (the Hwy 71 end), you’ll find true yardsales abound.

I had hoped to be able to set up every day but that isn’t working out. I do plan to come in Saturday and Sunday, and open my storage building which is full. Hope you’ll find me just one mile off Hwy 73. Look for junction of Hwy 73 and County Road 131, in between signs for Glendale Church of Christ. We are just one mile off 73, on the right, and we will have tons of stuff. Shade too.

Have fun and drive safe.

Also, wanta save money? Just email me about any item I have listed on my blog and I’ll give you a terrific yard sale discount. I’ll have all my sweet collectibles available as well as lots of true yard sale items.

Bryant is up the mountain from both South Pittsburg, TN and Trenton, GA (about 20 minutes from either place) and is only about 40-50 minutes from Chattanooga.

The Jackson County Chamber of Commerce Website posted more info on the annual event, including info for those who might want to set up and sell at the yard sale.

Check out the Bryant Thrift Store while you are in the neighborhood. They have great prices there. For food, try Kathy’s Drive In in Bryant or Cloud’s Pizza in Higdon.

Here’s a mapquest link that shows the 50 mile yard sale route

About the 50 Mile Yard Sale: Over this Labor Day weekend, well starting on Thursday and ending Monday, there will be a very large yardsale going on in northeast Alabama. It is a true yardsale in every sense of the word. While there may be a “vendor” here and there, by and large these are good old yard sales.

The yardsale goes from Bryant, Alabama (Highway 73) to Section, Alabama (Highway 71)

Highway 73 turns into Highway 71 if you are starting on the Bryant end. If starting on the Section end, Hwy 71 turns into Highway 73.

There will be yard sales happening just off the route too and since these are all small towns along the route, you won’t have far to drive to find more treasure. Explore off road a bit!

County Road 131 usually has a few good sales. I will be set up just one mile off Highway 73 in Bryant, on County Road 131. Look for it on the left about 1,500 feet after going over creek and around big curve. This is a multi-family sale. Hope to see you there because we really have a bit of everything, from clothes to toys to books to sewing stuff to collectibles to art to …. well, you name it. Probably some furniture too.

Please check this website, http://collectibles-yardsale.com for updates as the time gets closer, to find out which dates we will be set up, what we’ll have etc.

GPS will get you lost if I tell you the exact address because Hwy 131 is a horseshoe road. Just drive down Hwy 73 and when you get to Bryant, look for the Glendale Church of Christ sign. Depending on which way you are coming, Hwy 131 will be either a right or left turn before you see the next Glendale Church sign. In other words, there is a sign at both ends of a circular drive to the church and Hwy 131 is in the middle of those, on the opposite side of the road.

Email me for more questions and to get a contact number, in case you can’t find us. You may also feel free to call me if looking for anything in particular. I’ll let you know if anyone in our group has what you want.
