Common and Rare M.U.S.C.L.E. Figures
I have 22 of the older
M.U.S.C.L.E. figures for sale.
When starting to research
these little rubber guys, I
was delighted to find
Nathan’s M.U.S.C.L.E.
page.
However, the last time I visited,
my firefox browser showed a
warning so I didn’t go back over.
Visit at your own risk. It does
have a huge amount of information
on M.U.S.C.L.E. figures.
nathansmusclepage dot com
In fact, I would have been quite
at a loss for identifying these
little rubber guys without that
website. I hope they fix whatever
is causing firefox to flag them.
I have meticulously compared my M.U.S.C.L.E. figures to the ones on Nathan’s website, looking for placement of copyright symbols, details on faces and bodies, etc. I feel fairly certain M.U.S.C.L.E. figures are all authentic. However, buy at your own risk.
I have the following colors, and all have clear Y/S N.T. markings on back with B in circle signifying Bandai.
They match colors I’ve seen on charts about M.U.S.C.L.E. figures and, as mentioned above, definitely and completely match the figures I saw on Nathan’s site.
Light Blue M.U.S.C.L.E. figures:
Godofon Eric
Mr. Barracuda (A)
Mirion Hell
Dark Blue M.U.S.C.L.E. figures:
Black King
Red M.U.S.C.L.E. figures:
Hantenaguman (Hunting Man)
Kington (no warts version)
Junkman
Bermuda III
Green M.U.S.C.L.E. figures:
I think these are the neon green,
according to the color code at
the M.U.S.C.L.E. Preservation Society
Shishikababu (Shishkabob)
Kani Besu
Neptuneman
Kinnikuman (C)
Flesh M.U.S.C.L.E. figures:
I first listed these as salmon
but after checking the color chart,
they look more like flesh color
Rollerman
Black Buffalo
Satan King
Magenta M.U.S.C.L.E. figures:
The Ninja
Wakusei Barukan
Mr. Akiresu (Mr. Achilles)
Salmon M.U.S.C.L.E. figures:
Bazookara
Chavo Kerori
The Hawkman
Orange M.U.S.C.L.E. figures:
Furashya Balloon (Flash Balloon)
Information on M.U.S.C.L.E. figures:
Four common sets included
Thug Busters
Mighty Maulers
Cosmic Showdown
Cosmic Crunchers
Each of the above sets contained 28 figures.
The most rare figures are from the Mega Match set
and are lime green and grape / lavendar.
Please indicate which M.U.S.C.L.E. figures you are interested in buying. Right now I just have them all priced at $5 each but that could change as I learn more about them.

Tips for spotting fake M.U.S.C.L.E. Figures
I just posted a listing for the little rubber guys I have and forgot to mention that there is a great website for checking the colors of the genuine figures as well as getting tips for spotting fakes.
According to the M.U.S.C.L.E. Preservation Society, the main things you look at when determining a true M.U.S.C.L.E. Men Action Figure are:
1. Color - compare to online charts or to other figures you may own.
2. Degree of bendability - plastic should be hard.
3. The presence/clarity of the Y/S N.T. symbol on the back - if it isn’t clear or very deep, could be a fake.
4. Degree of detail to the molded faces and bodies. M.U.S.C.L.E. men toys were quite detailed.
If too bendable, lacking detail, missing the symbol or an off color, your M.U.S.C.L.E. men toys are likely to be fakes.
I wanted to link the M.U.S.C.L.E. preservation information page here but my security says it may be what’s called an “attack site” that downloads malicious software. I hope this is in error but til I know for sure, I’m just listing the page below in a non-clickable form. If you want to risk going there, you can figure out the url below, just take out the spaces and change each “dot” to a period:
mps4ever dot com / fakes dot htm
Note that we’re talking about U.S. versions from Bandai. The ones from Japan are called Kinnikuman and I’m not at all sure how you’d tell a genuine Kinnikuman M.U.S.C.L.E. figure. I read somewhere that the plastic used for Kinnikuman toys was diffeerent than that used by Bandai. However, I can’t find the website where I read that now…..

Millions of Unusual Small Creatures Lurking Everywhere
M.U.S.C.L.E. Toys - Little Rubber Guys
I came across these strange little rubber action figures in different colors. They had the symbol Y/S N.T. on the back and a tiny imprinted B.
I had never heard of M.U.S.C.L.E. Men Toys and was surprised to find that fans of these little dudes are quite passionate about them. The anacronym stands for “Millions of Unusual Small Creatures Lurking Everywhere” and these really are strange creatures indeed. There are a lot of them too, so they probably did lurk everywhere in little boy’s rooms all over the place in the 1980’s.
There are apparently fakes so I checked mine against the clues given as to what would constitute fake M.U.S.C.L.E. men toys and it looks like mine are genuine although I’m not sure if they are first issue or later issues. Some are in the original M.U.S.C.L.E. pink while others are Magenta, Light Blue, Red, Lime Green and Salmon. I have one dark blue and one orange.
The Y/S N.T. symbols are pronounced, where fakes tend to be very lightly imprinted apparently. Also, colors match the M.U.S.C.L.E. color charts I found.
Sadly, I don’t have any of the truly rare grape muscle men toys.
I thought I had Krelby McPeterson and Adam Antlerhead but, on closer inspection, they turned out to be Satan King and Black Buffalo. I’ll be adding a complete list once I’ve verified all the names.
Please indicate which M.U.S.C.L.E. men toys you are interested in. I finally found a website for researching names so will be posting full list of my M.U.S.C.L.E. men action figures soon.

Prices on these are liable to change without notice as I learn more about these collectible figures and their worth.
