Millions of Unusual Small Creatures Lurking Everywhere
M.U.S.C.L.E. Toys - Little Rubber Guys
I came across these strange little rubber action figures in different colors. They had the symbol Y/S N.T. on the back and a tiny imprinted B.
I had never heard of M.U.S.C.L.E. Men Toys and was surprised to find that fans of these little dudes are quite passionate about them. The anacronym stands for “Millions of Unusual Small Creatures Lurking Everywhere” and these really are strange creatures indeed. There are a lot of them too, so they probably did lurk everywhere in little boy’s rooms all over the place in the 1980’s.
There are apparently fakes so I checked mine against the clues given as to what would constitute fake M.U.S.C.L.E. men toys and it looks like mine are genuine although I’m not sure if they are first issue or later issues. Some are in the original M.U.S.C.L.E. pink while others are Magenta, Light Blue, Red, Lime Green and Salmon. I have one dark blue and one orange.
The Y/S N.T. symbols are pronounced, where fakes tend to be very lightly imprinted apparently. Also, colors match the M.U.S.C.L.E. color charts I found.
Sadly, I don’t have any of the truly rare grape muscle men toys.
I thought I had Krelby McPeterson and Adam Antlerhead but, on closer inspection, they turned out to be Satan King and Black Buffalo. I’ll be adding a complete list once I’ve verified all the names.
Please indicate which M.U.S.C.L.E. men toys you are interested in. I finally found a website for researching names so will be posting full list of my M.U.S.C.L.E. men action figures soon.
