Beautiful Bisquit Jar - Red Mark Japan
Gorgeous ceramic bisquit jar,
red mark Japan.
Also numbered on bottom:

I’ve seen similar jars online
going for $40 to $60 but this
bisquit jar is greatly reduced
because I accidentally caused
a crack when getting it home
from the place I found it. Drats.
It does have a crack that runs
about halfway down the side
but it is not very noticable.
For display purposes, the
bisquit jar looks perfect, as
you can probably see from
the picture.
The woven handle is
in great shape too.
I am not certain how to
determine if a piece is
majolica but this has the
gloss look of majolica
and is quite similar to other
majolica bisquit jars I’ve
seen online.
In any case, it is just lovely
and has it’s original wooden
lid as well.
This piece is assumed vintage,
judging by other similar pieces
I’ve seen but not guaranteed to
be vintage.
