“Vintage” Barbie Bed from 1987
Technically, the term “vintage” applies to products that were manufactured on or before 1973. However, in the world of collectibles, vintage can also mean the first edition or a very early edition of a product that did not exist before 1973. Typically, the earlier Barbie accessories from the 1980’s are considered vintage by Barbie collectors. However, Barbie dolls must be pre-1973 to be considered vintage.
Set includes: bed with headboard, foam mattress, sheet with lace, reversable comforter, and pillow. The plastic bed and frame have some scuffing and one of the prongs that connects the headboard to the bed is broken; however, it will still secure to the bed and stay put. The sheet is in good shape with some slight snagging and one very small stain. The comforter needs gentle laundering to remove a small stain mostly visible only from the white side of the comforter. Pillow is also a little bit stained. Overall, in good shape for its age.
